Baby Blankets

Handcrafted baby blankets are the kind of perfect gift that becomes a precious heirloom. Both our sons love their blankies. Our oldest boy's baby blanket was made by my aunt and he named it "Ma-lee Ma-lee." Our youngest, whose baby blanket was made by mom, isn't talking enough yet to call his blankie by name, but when the sleepies come around they both go for their blankie to cuddle up with. Not only are they beautiful and comfortable and even practical - but our sons have also discovered bonus alternative uses for their precious pals, such as: pillow, cape, tent and lasso rope.

Baby blankets are one of my most favorite things to crochet, because as I go along I think of what interesting thing this will become in the hands of a 2 year old with an imagination...or what tiny little fingers will look like as they find delight in peeping through the spaces of the pattern...and if I'm making a baby blanket for someone I know personally, I'll often pray for them and their little one inbetween counting double crochets and slip stiches. Here are some pictures of baby blankets I've made. If you're looking to gift a handcrafted baby blanket at the next baby shower, I would be honored to have a part in the legacy that is created with that. Email cre8iveworship@gmail.com Prices vary.
